After years and years without
traveling – I’ve made my last real trip just before Teresa was born ... - I
finally managed to leave the girls with their grandmother and get on a plane!
I spent five days in Copenhagen and had the time of my life!
I loved the city, so different from Lisbon, the friendly people and the possibility of riding a bicycle all over town.
And, as you can imagine, I made a little tour around fabric shops and haberdasheries... I was lucky enough to find a map with the location of most stores related to sewing, which I made life much easier!
Some stores had quite different products from the ones we have here in Portugal so and I could help myself and bought some little things to bring home with me... Here they are:

Adorei a loja!
Belt buckles and some ribbon from Handler Tekstiler.
I loved this store! Lost of good quality haberdashery products, displayed by colors, and I could more around and touch everything (in Portugal that's not common and usually you have to ask the staff if they have what you want and they will bring it to you). I would love to have bought more stuf but the store was quite expensive...
Fabric samples from a store I found as I walked in the center of Copenhagen. The prints are beautiful but, unfortunately I can't remember the store name...
Four patterns in Danish! And a set of sheets with a great print... I found these on a garage sale in Ostrebro.
Nice and not that expensive fabrics from Stoff 2000. That's just the everyday Danish fabric store, I think. But I liked it and the prints are very different from the ones we get here in Portugal.
Three old Ottobre pattern magazines. In Swedish...
Hi Marta! I've just started following your blog. I LOVE the fabrics you found in Ostrebro. Do you know who's the designer?
ResponderEliminarHi! The fabric samples (2nd photo) are design by Susanne Firmenich for Hilco fabrics. The collection name is Duch Love.
EliminarSorry Marta, I wasn't clear, I meant the 4th picture!
EliminarHi! The ones on the 4th picture are from Stof2000. Non of them has any writing on the selvage so I don't know who's the designer. I thing they all are the store's own design. You can take a look at them here: http://stof2000.dk/shop/boernestof/trend/poplin-nyheder
EliminarThank you so much Marta!
EliminarQue lindos, Marta!
How did you ever decide? It looks like you scored some fantastic fabric on your trip....looking forward to seeing some lovely creations popping up in the near future!
