Talvez acabem
como quadros nas paredes cá de casa…
Entretanto a Teresa viu as agendas e resolveu redesenhar
Yesterday I went to Casa das Histórias Paula Rego (I’ve written about it
here) for the presentation of a book from the publisher
Planeta Tangerina: O Caderno Vermelho da Rapariga Karateca (that s "The Karate Girl's Red Notebook" and I don’t think there is an English version).
I just loved it!
I already knew the publisher and am big fan of their books. I didn’t know the author, Ana Pessoa, but it was such a pleasant surprise.
If you have teenage children (who understand Portuguese...) this book is a great gift. They will love it! But take the time to read it because it's a delicious book for all ages.
I ended up leaving for another day the purchase of the book but I brought a set of notebooks also published by Planeta Tangerina. I’m still not sure what I'll do with it, but they are fantastic! Maybe its pages will end up framed at my home’s walls...
Meanwhile Teresa saw the notebooks and decided to draw the illustrations her own way. She picked up each one and chose the drawings she liked the best. My favorite is the man swimming in money as she also copied the sentence (“swimming in money” is a Portuguese saying that means that someone is very rich). After finishing her drawing she asked what that meant but I don’t think she quite understood my explanation...
