Está um dia “chocho”. Nem chove nem faz sol…

O fim-de-semana foi passado em casa com a Inês a recuperar e eu a chocar o vírus.
Aproveitei para começar as transformações das camisas. É algo já muito visto nos blogues de costura americanos mas em Portugal creio que vai ser uma (quase) novidade. De qualquer forma, é uma ideia que tem pano para mangas. Se tiver um marido grande, pode fazer quase tudo com as camisas velhas dele, com o bónus de, grande parte das vezes, não ter que fazer bainhas ou abrir casas de botões.

Com a camisa de xadrez amarela fiz um vestido com mangas de balão baseado neste da Dana. Juntei apenas um tecido de flores verde que tinha cá em casa para as mangas e ficou feito. Depois achei que estava demasiado pingão e juntei um cinto por baixo do peito. Fez um sucesso cá em casa!

 Com a camisa de riscas cor-de-rosa e azul comecei a trabalhar o meu primeiro projeto para o concurso “sew along” no blog Project Run and Play. Por enquanto é só uma “circle skirt” que a Teresa adorou...

Today it doesn’t rain but it isn’t sunny either… Boring weather!

The weekend was spent at home with Ines recovering from the virus while I was getting it.
I ended up starting the refashion some of the men´s shirts that I had. It's something often seen in US sewing blogs but, in Portugal, I think it will be an (almost) new thing. Anyway, it's an idea that has so many possibilities... If you have a big husband, you can do almost anything with his old shirts, with the bonus of not having to make hems or open buttonholes.

With the yellow plaid shirt I made ​​a dress with balloon sleeves like this from Dana. I´ve just added a green fabric with flowers that I had for the sleeves and it was done. Then I thought it was a bit too plain and simple and joined a belt under the chest. It was a success here at home!

With the pink and blue striped shirt I started working for my first Project Run and Play sew along contest. For now it's just a "circle skirt" that Teresa loved...
